For all of the jokes I made about becoming one, I didn't see myself as a content creator. Not because I didn't have the skills, but because I didn't think I had a product. I'm not a dancer, I don't find myself to be terribly funny, and I live a fairly quiet life. So I wasn't sure how entertaining I would be.

What I have learned is that people don't always want the perfectly procured influencer with a polished life. Sometimes they want someone who is just like them with relatable stories and thoughts... and maybe just enough sass to remind them that you don't always have to be nice to be kind.

As a woman approaching 40, I am eerily aware of the fact that nothing in my life turned out the way I thought it would despite "doing everything right." And I'm not the only one. I'm also not the only to realize that "doing the right thing" isn't always the best thing. 

​

I started creating content because part of me was speaking to a past version of myself. A cathartic practice that seemed to resonate with so many. It would seem that a lot of other people had a similar past version of themselves, and I'd like to think that I've helped them along the way. I keep going because I recognize the representation I might offer to so many. So I am officially testing the boundaries of this reach and the good I might be able to do with it.
